Challenge: Our client wanted us to use their large open plan space to design a kitchen that was ergonomically friendly. They wanted it to run along one side of the room and it to be different and unique, something no one else would have.
Solution: Our clients were a couple with a large family who would get together on regular occasions at the family home. Having this in mind, we wanted to create a functional space for everyone to enjoy and socialise whilst the clients were cooking, which they loved to do. We came up with an unusual ‘mix-match’ approach by introducing two separate island connected by a simple, solid wood worktop with the choice of colour scheme to make sure that the design was completely unique to them and matched their already ‘quirky’ style. The small accents of colours used in the kitchen accessories help move the eye around the room, making the space happy and cheerful.
