Waterside, Chesham

Our client approached us to design their third floor open plan space which was previously used as an office in a 110 years old house. Despite of the huge space it felt dark mainly due to the low height wooden rafters which were painted in black. The client wanted us to use our creativity and come up with a multi functional open plan space where they can relax.

From the very first visit it was clear that the loft space had enormous potential but needed brightening up. We presented ideas on furniture, lighting and colour palette through a concept board to create a synergy between the existing areas of the property and this new contemporary loft space. By painting the rafters in white and introducing clever led strip lighting above, it was possible to lift the whole roof space. Bright, modern and comfortable furniture was specified and sourced to finish off this quirky loft.
